Freeman, C. 1992. Breaking down the Barriers for Women. St Michael News.August,  p. 2.

This article from Marks & Spencer’s staff newspaper investigates how the company is breaking down the barriers women face in employment. Managers from the Human Resources and Personnel departments explain that they want to increase women’s participation in the workforce, and intend to maintain flexible working plans for women with families. An emphasis on the importance of female role models in the industry is also recognised by managers and staff alike.
