Poster – ‘Witches Cauldron’

This hand-painted poster was created in 1985 by the Women’s Liberation Movement Switchboard in Melbourne, Australia.

The poster advertised a fundraising event held by the group, based on the theme of witches. This is another brilliant example of the women’s movement reclaiming the imagery of witches, using the imagery to celebrate women, rather than stigmatize and punish them.
